Social Media & Me

Aloha peeps! I know I had been missing for a while. :( Hehe. Kinda of battling with my work, schoolwork exams and my social life! Finally it is all over for now and I'm currently on holiday. school-break I mean. Sigh. For those who don't know me personally, I'm taking part-time degree in UniSIM and I can only say it's pretty tough but it's all going to be over real soon! Half a year more! Yay!

Due to my busyness, I must really thank Social Media to keep me posted with News and what my friends have been up to. Guess most of us people here has Facebook,Twitter, Instagram or at least watch YouTube once? In fact, I had to admit I am a late bloomer in this aspect. I used to think I don't need to let the whole world know what I am doing. Lol. Pretty anti-social hor. I only managed to get really active in Instagram earlier this year as one of my module is on Social Media. One of my assignment is to write a mob posting in a blog and eventually I decided to do up a real one. :) Here am I, sharing my personal thoughts and experience with you peeps.

By now, many of us should know what are the benefits of Social Media. Getting to connect and bringing closer relationship with one another be it on a personal or corporate context.

An unexpected outcome for myself is I got myself to become one of the Dove girls through Facebook while I'm doing research on an assignment too! (Read here to find out more) Another encounter I wanted to thank god for is I got to build an amazing friendship with 2 girls through Instagram!

Thank god for this awesome experience!

It all started with our common interest of shopping! We are not shopaholics, we are the threesome gals who are constantly helping the economy. :p We even want to name our group. C.L.K. Whahaha. Cheesy right. But not to worry, it's not official yet.

The first meeting was like a blind date to me. Lol. We met for a quick lunch before heading to shopping session in Bugis Village. Instead of being awkward, we hit it off really well. Three of us is of the same age,we share similar interests and most importantly, we have exactly the same wavelength! Spontaneous is the word to describe us. Always willing to try new things together! Let's take a look at some of our hot dates following up after our first date. We are having a full-day program on 14th December too! Shopping, getting hair-cut, buffet dinner followed by our First play: Crazy Christmas, Ting Tong Belles to end the lovely Saturday. Looking forward!

It's pretty hard to have such strong bonded friendship these days, especially at our age. You guys must be guessing our age right? Make a guess! Well, my impression of Social Media was somehow misguided in the past. I'm glad that UniSIM gave me a chance to give it a go before delivering my verdict and ended up created an opportunity to expand my friendship network without an agenda in the beginning .:)

My verdict? You will never know what you gonna get. So what are you waiting for? For those who are skeptical, don't be. Be open and try it out! Visit your apps store now or get active with your exisiting ones if you already have them in your smartphone. Oh ya, don't forget to stay connected with me too! :P Promise I will try to be active in my posting!
