Hello August! Hello peeps!
Oh my. It's first Sunday in August. Time files hor. Been real tiring past 2 months battling with my health due to the haze as well as taking care of my mum even though it was my school break. No time to rest at all.
At the same time, I haven't been working hard for my fitness programme. Planned to go Bikram and jogging twice per week...but I didn't..and guess what? It's the marathon season coming up for me! I have three runs coming in this month and I haven't been training at all! OOPS! Oh well, at least today I finally have some time to squeeze in one Bikram session after collecting my race pack for Adidas King Of The Road which is happening this coming Sunday, 11 August 2013. Have to say it feels so good to sweat it all out and got myself detox through that 90 minutes in the hot room. Moreover, this lesson also served as a pre-stretching session in preparation of the run. Shall plan to squeeze in another session perhaps on Saturday morning. :)
Post-Bikram Selfie:
I was pretty impressed with KOTR 2012 race pack and this year I'm just fairly satisfied with the goodie bag. Felt that there were lesser items and yet we are still paying for the same price. Same goes to the rest of the race packs I collected too.. Erm.. Times are bad and there are fewer sponsors I guess...But so far I still find the material of the race tee is one of the best among many other races that I had been. Only thing is the tee is in European size and the cutting is really big. Moreover, this year I made a decision to register the race too last minute and they ran out of S size so I have to take the M size. Most likely, I will be swimming in it. Lol.
In the KOTR race pack:
Besides KOTR, I'm going for The happiest 5k on the planet, The Color Run for 5km on 17 August 2013 and The Straits Time, Run in the park for 10km on 25 August 2013.

Looking forward to The Color Run and hope this will really be the happiest run I ever take part in. Lol.
Other races that I had took part earlier this year:
The Safari Zoo Fun Run - 6km
Nike She Runs - 5km
Sundown Marathon - 21km
Well, guess I have to start slow and hopefully I can pull through this 10km on this coming Sunday. My personal running motto is "Always listen to your body, it's not always about timing as long as there's completion". It's a personal journey and you need not be competitive about it. :) Surely, most of you have heard or read about the benefits of running (find out more here). It's beneficial and it's free! Unless you want to join races, which mostly are for charity and meanwhile, these races can be served as a motivation for training your stamina too. As you go along, your endurance and timing will slowly improve as well. Honestly, I'm still a slow runner. But I believe one fine day, I will be able to complete a 10km under an hour and a half marathon under two hours thirty minutes. After which, I will then join a full marathon. Will work hard towards my fitness goal! So can you!
