You've got mail. I clicked on it and WOW! I was chosen to be one of the Dove girls! Yippee! Little did I expect my hair tips will be selected. I was thrilled but at the same time I was pretty nervous as I had never done a professional photo-shoot for such a big brand before. Really thank god for giving me this chance!
Here's how I become a Dove girl... :)
I chanced upon this contest on Dove web banner advertisement in Xinmsn.sg and "Liked" their Facebook page to in order to participate.
This is the photo I send in for the contest (one of my favourite hairstyle) and
this is the hair tip (which I style almost daily) I shared...
"Looked like I just woke up? I'm blessed natural wavy hair base and simply in love with messy chic hairstyle. I usually use a texturizing spray to add haphazard waves. Adding texture to straight strands is the easiest way to add a little edge to an otherwise girly look." ~ Charmaine Lee
And here I am, Dove girl & I'm loving it!
Truly, it was a nice and fun experience to be a model for a professional photo-shoot :) I got to know the rest of the fellow Dove girls and glad that all of us hit off really well. Coincidentally, one of the girls also likes Bikram yoga and she even practise at the same yoga venue that I visit. How nice to make new friends! The Dove team and crews for this shoot are professional, amazing and simply awesome people. They are friendly and fun people to work with. The 'make myself feel at home' kind of ambience and environment had enabled me to relax my tension and enjoyed myself rather than stressing myself out during the entire shoot.

Look at the amount of cosmetics! I would love to have them all!
The amazing & awesome team.
While waiting for our turn, we are happily eating cupcakes. :P
(Thankful for the hospitality with lunch & refreshments throughout the shoot!)

Candid shot while we are shooting. Looking back at this photo makes me laugh too!
We are serious at work now. Don't play play ah!
(Check out the clips behind my back! lol)
Ta-Dah! After weeks of hard work by the team, here's my fellow Dove girls!
Besides taking the 'Dove girl' title and having this professional photo-shoot , all of us were given 1 year supply of Dove hair products, Takashimaya shopping vouchers and chance of featuring in their upcoming campaign. We were told we will be featured in Facebook and MRT but I wasn't sure when though. After two months of waiting, one night my friend sent me a text that he spotted the Dove campaign in train while he was making his way home! I tried catching a number of trains (with the campaign) but in vain. :( Thankfully, I have friends who managed to board the trains and helped me snapped a few shots for my keeping. :) Super grateful for that!

Here's a preview of mine...
"Charm your way through the crowd, with a sweet braided fringe."
It's a great look for weekend and definitely stands out from the crowd!
Personally, I love to color my hair once every few months and by doing so, it has caused my hair to be dry and brittle. Therefore, to keep them silky, regular conditioning is a must. I have to say Dove Intense Repair range is the remedy for my ill-treated hair. Dove Intense Repair Treatment Mask is really very good (I give it 9/10!) and it helps a lot to revive my dying hair to be alive again. To be honest, I don't use all Dove hair products, but a mix-and-match. Promise I will put up another post on what I use and how I keep my colored hair bouncy and silky soon.
Meanwhile, if you have any other hair tips or hair styles to share, please do let me know! I would love to try them out too. Have a blessed week ahead! Thank you for reading! :)
